Horizontal Flyout Menu

A Horizontal Flyout Menu is a web navigation design pattern where a primary row of menu options sits across the top of a webpage. When a user hovers over or clicks a top-level category, a secondary list of sub-items appears—either dropping down or “flying” out to the side. As the user moves deeper into the hierarchy, subsequent levels of sub-menus fly out horizontally, expanding across the screen to reveal more specific pages.

It is ideal for sites with complex, multi-level hierarchies, such as e-commerce platforms, institutional websites, or data-heavy directories. Best Practices for UI/UX
