Dahua ConfigTool connection failures usually stem from IP subnet mismatches, Windows Firewall restrictions, or incorrect search settings. When the tool cannot detect your Dahua IP cameras, NVRs, or XVRs on the local network, you can systematically diagnose and resolve the issue using the troubleshooting framework below. 1. Verify Search Settings & Credentials
The Dahua ConfigTool requires the correct local parameters to look past the host computer’s primary IP.
Match the Segment: Click Search Setting at the top of the ConfigTool. Ensure the start IP and end IP fields encompass the IP address range of your cameras (e.g., 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254).
Input Current Credentials: If the device password has changed from the default admin/admin, you must update it in the Search Setting password field. If the password there does not match the device, the tool may refuse to display or modify the device. 2. Fix IP Subnet Mismatches Software/Dahua Toolbox/Login Fix
